Performance Venues
I've had the pleasure to perform at venues big and small. Here are some of my favorite venues.
Acorn Theatre, Three Oaks, Michigan

In 2002, writer Kim Clark and David Fink, a Chicago manufacturing executive purchased the Warren Featherbone Factory building. The factory, which had once manufactured buggy whips and corset stays, had closed in 1957. The roof leaked, the floors had collapsed and rusted cars were on the dirt road in front of the building. With love and more than a few bucks, they transformed the building into a contemporary 260 seat theatre. Located just 70 miles from Chicago, the theatre hosts a variety of events and attracts an audience from the greater Chicago area.

Calumet Theatre, Calumet Michigan

Michigan's northern most theatre, was built during the Keweenaw's great copper boom. The theatre originally seated 1,200 people. Today it seats 700. (the second balcony is no longer in use) A beautiful theatre and a great place to perform. Younce Guitar Duo has played the theatre and the Copper Cats play here with The Red Jacket Jamboree.
Charlevoix Area Public Library

The Charlevoix Library makes my list because of their terrific staff and always a great audience!
Cheboygan OPera House

Younce Guitar Duo video taped our live performance at the Cheboygan Opera House and I'm sure you can see why! A gem located at the tip of the mitt.
City Opera House, Traverse City

Located in our home town of Traverse City, the City Opera House has been restored to its original glory!

Johnny's Speakeasy

The best kept "secret" in Ann Arbor, Johnny's Speakeasy really was a speakeasy! The venue was originally a fruit cellar. Eventually a house was built over the cellar, which was turned into a speakeasy during prohibition. Concerts are held throughout the year at the private residence, but one still has to know the password to get in!
Little River Casino

Younce Guitar Duo has performed several times at the Little River Casino for their "high roller night". Vocalist Jennifer Barnett joined us for a Cinco de Mayo celebration. The room provides excellent acoustics and sound isolation.
The Old Art Building, Leland, MI

Operated by the Leelanau Community Cultural Center, the Old Art Building brings fine art and music to be residents of the Leelanau Peninsula. A great atmosphere but a very seasonal venue (June-August) My brother Ty Younce joined us on percussion.

Younce Guitar Duo has played the venue twice. Here we are with jazz vocalist Jennifer Barnnet. Watch a clip of Younce Guitar Duo and Jennifer from this performance .
The Riverwalk Theatre and Snug Theatre

Younce Guitar Duo has played at both The Snug Theatre and the Riverwalk Theatre in Marine City. The theatre puts on theatrical events all year long. As you can see by the photo (left) we fit in nicely on the set!
Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts
On the campus of Michigan Tech University, the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts is a acoustically superb facility. I have the pleasure of being the musical director for The Red Jacket Jamboree and performing with the Copper Cats in this great venue.

The Sanfilippo Foundation

The Sanfillipo Foundationis ranks as one of the top three venues in which I've played. That's because the private residence contains one of the world's largest collections of automated musical instruments. The private foundation uses its collections and property to hold charity events. http://www.sanfilippofoundation.org/
Trinity House Theatre, Livonia, MI

A great listening room operated by a dedicated group of volunteers. The audience is comprised of folks who appreciate good music. http://www.trinityhousetheatre.org/
